Improved Process for Separating TiO2 from an Oxalic-Acid Hydrothermal Leachate of Vanadium Slag

In the present study, a process of separating high-quality TiO2 from an oxalic-acid leachate vanadium slag was proposed. It consists two steps; oxalic acid firstly recovered by cooling-crystallization method, and subsequently separated hydrothermal precipitation method. The experimental results indicate that can be cooling crystallization at 5 °C, after recovery acid, purity final product also improved. For example, when cooled directly °C for h, about 7% recovered, improved 95.7% to 96.6%. Furthermore, it found some HCl solution added leachate, both percentage increased. instance, 15 vol% relative pregnant added, 35% 3 anatase with 99.2% obtained 140 2.5 h.
